In a society where enduring marital unions are increasingly rare, Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has marked a powerful testament to love, faith and commitment as he celebrated 33 years of marriage with his wife, Dr. Nonye Soludo.

The milestone anniversary was commemorated with a thanksgiving Mass at the Governor’s country home in Isuofia, Aguata Local Government Area, drawing family members, close associates, religious leaders and top government functionaries.

The Mass was officiated by His Eminence, Peter Cardinal Okpaleke of the Catholic Diocese of Ekwulobia, while the Catholic Bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Rev. Jonas-Benson Okoye, delivered the homily.

Bishop Okoye praised the Soludos for sustaining a marriage anchored on faith, patience and mutual respect, describing their union as an example worthy of emulation.

Governor Soludo expressed gratitude to God and to guests who shared in the celebration, reflecting on the values that have strengthened his marriage over the decades.

The choice of Isuofia, his hometown, highlighted his enduring bond with his roots and community.

The event attracted high-profile dignitaries, including Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim and his wife, Speaker of the State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Somtochukwu Udeze, and Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Onochie Anyachebelu, among others.

Hymn renditions, cultural displays and lively dance performances, featuring the Governor and his wife, added warmth and colour to the celebration, which many described as a fitting tribute to love, unity and enduring family values.
