Christmas: Soludo, APGA Urge Nigerians To Embrace Love, Hope and Unity

As Christians across Nigeria celebrate Christmas, leaders in Anambra State have called on citizens to look beyond festivities and embrace the deeper values of the season.

Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has extended warm Christmas greetings to Ndi Anambra and Christians nationwide, urging them to reflect on the ideals of hope, love, peace and redemption associated with the birth of Jesus Christ.

In a goodwill message signed by his Press Secretary, Mr Christian Aburime, and released in Awka, Governor Soludo described Christmas as more than a festive occasion, stressing that it offers timeless lessons in compassion, selflessness and unity needed for national growth.

The governor encouraged Christians to demonstrate the true spirit of the season by showing love and generosity, particularly to the less privileged, noting that sharing with the needy strengthens social bonds and restores hope within communities.

He also invited residents and visitors to enjoy Onwa D’Zemba, a special festive programme featuring cultural and recreational activities across the state, while reassuring the public of adequate security throughout the festive period and beyond.

Governor Soludo further urged Nigerians to remember the nation in prayers, seeking peace, prosperity and divine wisdom for leaders at all levels as the country journeys towards sustainable development.

He wished all a Merry Christmas, good health and a New Year filled with hope.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) also congratulated Nigerians on the Christmas celebration, calling for renewed commitment to love, kindness and unity.

In a statement signed by its National Publicity Secretary, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, the party reaffirmed its dedication to the welfare of Nigerians and pledged continued efforts towards building an inclusive, prosperous and just nation.

APGA, on behalf of its National Working Committee, wished Nigerians a Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year, praying for joy, good health and abundant blessings in the year ahead.
