Nigeria-US Intelligence Alliance Strikes Terrorists In Precision North-West Air Operations
Nigeria’s evolving security strategy is increasingly shaped by intelligence-led partnerships rather than brute force alone, a shift authorities say is already delivering results.
The Federal Government has confirmed that structured security cooperation between Nigeria and the United States has led to precision air strikes against terrorist targets in the North-West, dealing significant blows to violent extremist networks.
In a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abuja and signed by its spokesperson, Kimiebi Ebienfa, disclosed that the collaboration involves intelligence sharing, strategic coordination ,and other support measures , all conducted in line with international law and with full respect for Nigeria’s sovereignty.
The Ministry emphasised that all counter-terrorism operations prioritise the protection of civilian lives, national unity and the rights of all Nigerians, stressing that terrorism, whether targeting Christians, Muslims or any other group, is an affront to Nigeria’s core values and global peace.
According to the statement, Nigeria continues to work closely with international partners to disrupt terrorist financing, logistics and cross-border movements, while simultaneously strengthening its own security institutions and intelligence capacity.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to keeping the public informed through official channels as diplomatic and security engagements deepen.
