El-Rufai Debunks Viral Claim On 2027 Presidency Zoning
As misinformation continues to swirl ahead of the 2027 general elections, former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, has moved swiftly to shut down a viral claim attributed to him.
In a post on his verified X handle, @elrufai, El-Rufai dismissed as fake a trending report alleging that he had stated which region should produce Nigeria’s next president in 2027.
He described the claim as entirely untrue, stressing that he never made such comments in any of his speeches, interviews or social media posts.
The former minister cautioned the public against falling for misleading content circulated for political mischief, noting that the falsehood had gained traction despite lacking any factual basis.
