Information Minister Hails Zuma FM At 20, Celebrates Legacy Of Rural Broadcasting
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has congratulated Zuma 88.5 FM, Suleja, on its 20th anniversary, describing the station as a trailblazer in private broadcasting and a vital voice for rural communities in Niger State.
In a congratulatory message marking the milestone and the 9th edition of the Zuma Agricultural Harvest Festival, Idris praised the station’s consistency, vision and commitment to community service.
He noted that as the first private radio station in the state, Zuma FM has played a historic role in expanding access to information, amplifying rural voices and strengthening agricultural communication across the North.
The minister commended the management, staff and partners for sustaining the station’s social impact over two decades, adding that its work aligns with national efforts to build a more informed, united and progressive Nigeria.
He expressed optimism about the future of the station and said he looked forward to participating in the anniversary celebrations.
