Nigeria Gears Up To Host World Public Relations Forum 2026 In Abuja
Nigeria is set to take centre stage in global communications as preparations intensify for the World Public Relations Forum (WPRF) Abuja 2026.
The National Planning Committee (NPC), chaired by Dr. Suleiman Haruna, has announced that the formal unveiling of Nigeria’s hosting rights will take place on Monday, 20th October 2025, at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.
The hybrid event, scheduled from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., marks the official launch of activities leading up to the prestigious international forum.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, fnipr, will deliver the keynote address, alongside other key ministers including Foreign Affairs Minister Amb. Yusuf Tuggar, Arts and Culture Minister Hannatu Musa Musawa, Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo.
According to the NPC, the unveiling will not only herald the commencement of Early Bird Registration with special delegate discounts but also kick-start sponsorship opportunities and international engagement.
Dr. Haruna noted that the event will “firmly place WPRF Abuja 2026 on the global map,” positioning Nigeria as a hub for innovation, dialogue, and collaboration in public relations.
The WPRF 2026 is being organised by the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and is expected to attract communication experts, policymakers, and thought leaders from around the world.
