President Tinubu, APC Leaders Storm Jos For The Funeral Of Mama Lydia Yilwatda
The city of Jos, Plateau State, is agog as top political figures and dignitaries converge to pay their final respects to Mama Lydia Goshwe Yilwatda, the mother of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda.
Members of the APC National Working Committee (NWC) arrived in Jos on Friday ahead of the funeral ceremonies, underscoring the deep respect and affection the late matriarch commanded within and beyond political circles.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, is expected to attend the funeral prayers today and will later address church leaders from across Northern Nigeria at the headquarters of the Church of Christ in Nations (COCIN) in Jos.
Mama Lydia Yilwatda is fondly remembered for her unwavering faith, community service, and the values she instilled in her children, one of whom now leads Nigeria’s ruling party.
