The U.S. Mission in Nigeria has wrapped up a vibrant cultural exchange, as Alaska-based vocal trio, Pipeline Vocal Project, concluded their visit to Lagos and Abuja with a series of workshops, mentorship sessions, and live performances that bridged music, culture, and opportunity.

Known for their genre-bending vocal style, the award-winning group worked closely with students and emerging Nigerian artists, leading masterclasses at the University of Lagos, MUSON Centre, and Ogidi Studios, before culminating with a joint concert at Terra Kulture. .

In Abuja, they hosted interactive sessions at Abba Music Studio, where young talents honed their skills in global-standard vocal techniques, ending with a grand showcase featuring Nigerian performers including Oiza x Meyi, Jerell Ebuka, and Yakubu Worship.

Speaking after the event, U.S. Consul General Rick Swart said the visit exemplified “the power of music to inspire collaboration and broaden opportunity,” noting that people-to-people cultural exchanges remain central to strengthening ties between the United States and Nigeria.

Pipeline Vocal Project founder, Lisa Hawkins, described the Nigerian tour as “nothing short of inspiring,” praising the creativity and drive of young local talents.

The initiative forms part of the U.S. Mission’s broader effort to foster economic growth, cultural diplomacy, and stronger bilateral connections through the creative industry.
