Troops Intercept Massive Terrorist Logistics Cache In Yobe

Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK) have intercepted a major cache of logistics supplies intended for terrorists in the North-East, dealing a fresh blow to insurgent supply networks.

Acting on credible intelligence, soldiers conducting snap checks along the Nguru, Gashua road in Yobe State on 16 September 2025, at about 7:40 am, stopped a red 14-tyre trailer carrying suspicious consignments.

On inspection later the same day, troops uncovered 700 bags of NPK fertiliser, a key ingredient for making improvised explosive devices (IEDs),  27 cartons of assorted drugs, and nine cartons of saline solution, all hidden beneath bundles of fabrics.

Earlier that morning, at about 10:30 am, troops also intercepted two Sharon buses and another trailer loaded with fabrics and solar panels. Intelligence revealed that terrorists were attempting to use the materials to produce uniforms for their fighters.

All drivers, motor boys, and seized items are in custody as investigations continue to track down the consignees and consignors.

Military authorities have commended the troops for their vigilance and urged the public to provide timely intelligence to help dismantle terrorist supply chains.
