Police Arrest Suspected Cultist and Drug Peddler In Anambra, Recover Firearms
The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a suspected cultist and drug peddler, recovering firearms and hard drugs in the process.
Police spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said operatives attached to the Special Anti-Cult Squad (SPACS), Enugwu Ukwu, apprehended 35-year-old Ebuka Ubadigbo on 28th August along Nkpor-Umuoji Road, Idemili North Local Government Area.
Recovered from the suspect were two pump-action guns, two live cartridges, and a large quantity of substances believed to be hard drugs.
During preliminary interrogation, Ubadigbo reportedly confessed to drug peddling. Investigations are ongoing to trace his accomplices and the source of the firearms.
The police confirmed that the suspect will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigations.
