APC Slams ADC For ‘Insensitive Exploitation’ Of Katsina Killings
The All Progressives Congress (APC) has condemned the African Democratic Congress (ADC) over comments it described as “grossly insensitive and opportunistic” following the killing of innocent citizens in Malumfashi, Katsina State.
In a statement issued on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC said the ADC had attempted to exploit a national tragedy for cheap political points, instead of showing solidarity with grieving families and supporting security forces battling terrorism.
“It is in extreme bad taste for the ADC to attempt to exploit this tragic event,” the ruling party stated, accusing the opposition of engaging in “worthless rhetoric” rather than contributing meaningful solutions.
The APC defended President Bola Tinubu’s international engagements, describing them as critical for attracting foreign investments and strengthening security partnerships.
It also highlighted recent joint Nigeria, Chad operations that led to the capture of Boko Haram founder’s son and two Ansaru leaders, noting this as proof of progress in the fight against terror.
Reaffirming Tinubu’s commitment to national security, the APC pointed to increased defence spending, deployment of special forces, and community-based interventions in crisis-prone areas.
The party urged Nigerians to unite against terrorism and support ongoing efforts to restore peace.
