CDS Reaffirms Commitment To Security As Katsina Lawmakers Visit Defence Headquarters

The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Christopher Gwabin Musa, has pledged continued commitment to restoring peace and stability in Katsina State and across Nigeria.

General Musa gave the assurance in Abuja while receiving a delegation of National Assembly members from Katsina State, led by Senator Abdulazeez Musa Yar’Adua, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Army.

The lawmakers commended the Armed Forces of Nigeria for their sacrifices in protecting the nation and paid glowing tribute to fallen soldiers, describing their service as heroic and invaluable.

They also briefed the CDS on the security situation in Katsina, urging the deployment of additional troops and military assets to tackle emerging threats in the state.

In his response, General Musa expressed appreciation for the legislators’ support and revealed that the military is adopting newer tactics and strategies to address evolving security challenges.

He reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ resolve to work closely with the National Assembly in safeguarding Nigerians against insecurity.
