NAF Airstrikes Crush Bandits’ Plot In Zamfara
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has scored another major win against armed bandits in Zamfara State, thwarting a planned invasion of a farming community in the Makakkari Forest area.
Acting on Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) reports that over 400 armed bandits were mobilising for an attack, the NAF, under Operation Fasan Yamma, launched precision airstrikes in coordination with ground forces on 10 August 2025.
The combined assault neutralised several notorious kingpins and scores of their fighters, effectively dismantling the threat.
Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, NAF’s Director of Public Relations and Information, described the synergy between air and land components as “exceptional,” noting that the success underscores the military’s resolve to secure rural communities from insurgent violence.
