Anambra Police Boost Operations With New Armoured Vehicle

The Anambra State Police Command has taken delivery of a brand-new Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC), a move set to bolster its efforts in tackling security threats across the state.

Commissioner of Police, CP Ikioye Orutugu, who received the APC at the State Police Headquarters in Awka, described it as a “critical asset” that will enhance the Command’s operational capacity in responding to emerging security challenges.

He expressed gratitude to the leadership of the Nigeria Police Force for the support, especially the Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun, whose proactive leadership, he noted, continues to improve logistics, welfare, and morale of officers nationwide.

“This is a clear sign of the IGP’s commitment to strengthening police operations in Anambra and beyond,” CP Orutugu said.

The Command reassured residents of its unwavering dedication to safeguarding lives and property, while calling for greater public cooperation in building a safer state for all.
