Nigeria Welcomes Super Falcons Home As African Champions
It was jubilation and pride in the air as the Federal Government officially welcomed Nigeria’s Super Falcons back to Abuja following their triumphant victory at the 2024 CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Rabat, Morocco.
The Falcons, who have once again stamped Nigeria’s name in gold on the continental stage, were hailed as true heroines for their brilliance, teamwork, and unyielding spirit.

The Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to investing in sports and supporting Nigerian athletes to continue flying the nation’s flag high.
“Welcome home, champions of Africa,” he said. “You have made us proud.”
