NUJ FCT Chair Hails Dr Mrs Unoma Akpabio At 54, Calls Her A Beacon Of Hope For The the Less Privileged
The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, Comrade Grace Ike, has extended heartfelt birthday wishes to the wife of the Senate President, Dr Mrs Unoma Akpabio, describing her as “a visionary leader and a beacon of hope for the less privileged.”
In a statement released on Monday, Comrade Ike, who also heads the Advocate Broadcasting Network (ADBN), praised Mrs Akpabio’s tireless contributions to education, healthcare, women’s empowerment, and grassroots development across Nigeria, particularly in Akwa Ibom State.
“Her unwavering commitment to uplifting vulnerable groups in society is truly commendable,” Ike said. “She has not only awarded scholarships and supported medical outreaches but has also empowered women through skills acquisition and championed projects that have transformed communities.”
Citing her numerous acts of kindness — from sponsoring life-saving treatments to funding local development initiatives — the NUJ FCT Chair said Mrs Akpabio embodies the spirit of servant leadership.
“Her generosity and deep sense of social responsibility continue to inspire countless others,” Ike added. “She has set a powerful example of what it means to lead with compassion and purpose.”
As Dr Mrs Unoma Akpabio marks her 54th birthday, Ike joined well-wishers in praying for her continued strength, good health, and greater accomplishments.
“Happy Birthday, Dr Mrs Unoma Akpabio. May your light continue to shine in service to humanity,” the statement concluded.
