In a stirring message of reassurance to Nigerians, the Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Hasan Bala Abubakar, has declared that the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is delivering relentless air strikes round-the-clock to cripple terrorists, insurgents, and criminal networks across the country.
This renewed intensity comes as NAF steps up operations in key theatres, including Operation HADIN KAI, with enhanced coordination between air and ground forces.
According to the CAS, the directive to sustain air dominance now extends across all regions including Northeast, Northwest, North Central, Southeast, and South South.
“Terror will find no sanctuary, day or night,” Air Marshal Abubakar declared. “Wherever they hide, we will find them. And when we do, we will strike with precision.”
He pointed to a recent failed ISWAP attack on New Marte as evidence of NAF’s improved capabilities.
It will be recalled that in the early hours of 24th May, terrorists attempting to breach the area with motorcycles and a vehicle-borne explosive were swiftly neutralised by NAF aircraft, guided by real-time surveillance.
“Our platforms now operate effectively at night, with enhanced vision and accuracy,” he said, noting that follow-up strikes eliminated over 50 insurgents as they tried to regroup. Locals reportedly describe the air raids as “sudden death from above.
Fear is said to be spreading among ISWAP fighters, with many abandoning their positions. “We have shattered their illusion of nighttime safety,” the Air Chief added.
According to a statement by the Director of Public Relations and Information, NAF Headquarters, Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, the CAS promised all Nigerians continued vigilance: “From Kalabalge to Rann, Damboa to New Marte we own the skies. And as long as we do, terror will find no rest, day or night.” The statement concluded.
