ECOWAS, Experts Convene In Lagos To Shape West Africa’s Future Infrastructure, Visibility
Experts from the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) gathered in Lagos recently to validate key strategic documents aimed at boosting infrastructure development and visibility across the region.
Two major frameworks including the Strategic Business Plan (SBP) and the Communication Strategy were at the heart of the meeting proposed by the ECOWAS Project Preparation and Development Unit (PPDU).
These documents are expected to accelerate infrastructure interconnectivity and enhance the agency’s engagement with stakeholders.
The new SBP anchored on the ECOWAS Vision 2050, which envisions a peaceful, prosperous, and fully integrated West Africa, lays out a roadmap for inclusive and sustainable regional development.
The Communication Strategy aims to better showcase PPDU’s work and impact, fostering greater support from member states, investors, and citizens alike.
As West Africa seeks to strengthen its institutions and economic integration, this Lagos meeting marks a pivotal step towards realising that vision.
