Nigeria, Tunisia Set To Strengthen Ties At FITA 2025

Nigeria and Tunisia are set to reboot their bilateral relations, with plans to hold a long-overdue joint commission by September.

Speaking at the FITA 2025 Conference in Tunis, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Amb. Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, reaffirmed Nigeria’s readiness to partner with Tunisia in key sectors including energy, technology, agriculture, and the creative economy.

Represented by Amb. Bolaji Akinremi, she said Nigeria’s economic reforms under President Tinubu have created fresh opportunities for investment, urging Tunisian businesses to take advantage.

She also called for a revival of key agreements, including air services, military cooperation, and visa-free travel for diplomatic passport holders.

“Nigeria is open for business – and already doing business,” Akinremi declared, stressing investor-friendly reforms and a growing climate of peace and profitability.

With support from top Nigerian officials and business leaders at the event, the stage is set for a renewed Nigeria-Tunisia partnership built on trade, innovation, and shared growth.
