The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has inaugurated the executive committee of the party’s France chapter, calling on Nigerians in the diaspora to throw their weight behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Speaking in Paris over the weekend, Ganduje commended the efforts of diaspora members in expanding the party’s reach, urging them to remain united in support of ongoing economic reforms.
While acknowledging the tough nature of the reforms, he described them as “necessary steps to reposition Nigeria for sustainable growth.”
He also emphasised the APC’s commitment to achieving diaspora voting, describing it as a path towards full political inclusion for Nigerians abroad.
“We appreciate you for holding the banner of our party and supporting President Tinubu. There is more funding for capital development today, and that is evident at the state and local levels,” Ganduje stated.
In her remarks, newly inaugurated Chairlady of APC France, Hajjiya Amina Musa Baba Suzuki, pledged continued support from the diaspora.
She urged the APC leadership to push for diaspora voting, saying Nigerians abroad are not just economic contributors, but also “thought leaders and proud ambassadors of democracy.”
A statement signed by the CPS to the APC National Chairman, Edwin Olofu, said the event drew top party figures including APC Women Leader Dr. Mary Alile, Chairman of APC Europe, Hon. Tunde Doherty, and Oba Aderounmu Bamidele Sadiq, the Yoruba traditional ruler in France.
