As Nigerians travel to celebrate Easter, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Shehu Mohammed, has urged road users to embrace safety, patience, and reflection during the festive season.

In his Easter message, the Corps Marshal emphasised the dangers of traffic violations and reminded motorists that the holiday should not be marred by avoidable accidents. “Easter is a time of sober reflection,” he said, “and the lessons should guide us to be more considerate and careful on the roads.”

To ensure smooth travels, the FRSC has deployed personnel and logistics nationwide, targeting major highways and known traffic hotspots.

These special operations are designed to manage congestion, prevent accidents, and maintain order.

Mohammed appealed to road users to cooperate with law enforcement officers and volunteers on duty, acknowledging the sacrifices of all personnel involved in the Easter operations.

Wishing all Nigerians a peaceful and joyous Easter, the Corps Marshal reaffirmed the FRSC’s commitment to keeping the roads safe during the celebrations and beyond.
