Nigeria Felicitates With Senegal On Independence Anniversary

Nigeria has congratulated the Republic of Senegal as the West African nation celebrates another year of independence.

In a goodwill message, signed by the spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kimiebi Imomotimi Ebienfa, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, conveyed heartfelt congratulations to Senegal’s Minister of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, Mrs. Yassine Fall.

He commended the Senegalese people for their resilience, unity, and commitment to democratic values, noting that the country’s progress continues to inspire.

Ambassador Tuggar emphasised the strong ties between Nigeria and Senegal, rooted in shared history and cultural bonds, and pledged Nigeria’s continued commitment to boosting cooperation in trade, security, education, and regional integration through ECOWAS and the African Union.

As Senegal marks this milestone, Nigeria stands in solidarity and looks forward to deeper collaboration for the prosperity of our peoples,” the statement read.
