Eid El Fitr: A Time for Reflection And Renewal – CAJ President
The President of the Congress of African Journalists (CAJ), Chris Isiguzo, has urged Muslim journalists across Africa to embrace Eid El Fitr as a moment of reflection, renewal, and rejoicing.
In a heartfelt message, Isiguzo acknowledged the spiritual strength and discipline demonstrated by Muslims during Ramadan, emphasising that Eid marks not just the end of fasting but a reaffirmation of faith and devotion.
“As journalists, you play a crucial role in shaping narratives and giving voice to the voiceless,” he said, encouraging them to use the season to promote unity, compassion, and truth in their work.
He prayed for peace across Africa and wished Muslim journalists success in their endeavours. “May this Eid inspire hope, understanding, and progress for all,” he concluded.
