Terrorists Flee As NAF Unleashes Devastating Airstrikes In Borno
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has delivered a crushing blow to terrorists in Borno State, executing a series of precision airstrikes that neutralised scores of insurgents and obliterated their hideouts.
NAF aircraft, acting on credible intelligence, launched multiple waves of air interdiction missions targeting terrorist strongholds in Warawara, near Wajiroko, and Chinene in the Mandara Mountains.
Surveillance had earlier identified insurgents stockpiling logistics and planting IEDs, prompting a swift and decisive response.
The first wave of strikes wiped out a logistics hub, destroying gun trucks, fuel reserves, and ammunition stockpiles.
A follow-up attack at Chinene targeted insurgents who had relocated there after a previous raid. The strikes set hideouts ablaze, leaving terrorists in disarray.
Battle damage assessments confirmed the destruction of four gun trucks, two Toyota Hilux vehicles, and multiple makeshift shelters, significantly crippling the insurgents’ operational capabilities.
Many terrorists attempting to flee were also neutralised.
This latest offensive underscores the NAF’s commitment to eliminating terrorist threats and restoring peace in the North-East.
With sustained pressure, insurgents are running out of places to hide.
