Diplomatic engagement remains a key driver of regional stability and economic growth.
It is against this backdrop that ECOWAS continues to foster international partnerships, as was seen when eight newly appointed ambassadors and representatives presented their letters of accreditation to the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr. Omar Touray, in Abuja.
The envoys, representing the European Union, France, Finland, Equatorial Guinea, South Korea, Algeria, Sierra Leone, and the Holy See, pledged to strengthen collaboration between their nations and ECOWAS.
Responding, Dr. Touray assured them of his support and highlighted opportunities for deeper economic and diplomatic ties to drive regional integration.
As ECOWAS marks its 50th anniversary, these new diplomatic engagements signal a renewed commitment to cooperation, stability, and development in the region.
