Nigerian Air Force Launches Maiden Literary Competition for Youths

As part of the 2025 Nigerian Air Force Day Celebration, the Chief of the Air Staff has unveiled the maiden edition of a Literary Competition, aimed at fostering creativity and intellectual engagement among Nigerian youths.
With the theme “Optimising Civil-Military Relations in a Joint Operational Environment for Enhanced Air Operations”, the competition invites participants from primary, secondary, and tertiary institutions across the country.
It is divided into three categories: Essay, Poetry, and Art Competitions, with substantial cash prizes for winners.
Entry Details and Categories
CAS Essay Competition (For tertiary institutions, ages 18-24)
Essays must be original and not exceed 2,000 words.
Top prize: ₦1,000,000, with ₦750,000 and ₦500,000 for second and third places, respectively.
CAS Poetry Competition (For secondary schools, ages 12-17)
Poems must not exceed 300 words and must be in English.
Top prize: ₦600,000, with ₦400,000 and ₦200,000 for second and third places.
CAS Art Competition (For primary schools, ages 5-11)
Artworks must be original, limited to painting and drawing.
Top prize: ₦300,000, followed by ₦200,000 and ₦100,000 for the second and third places.
Submission Guidelines
Entries must be submitted via the official portal nafcaslc.airforce.mil.ng before April 11, 2025.
Participants must provide valid contact details and upload a passport photograph.
Literary submissions must be in PDF format, while artworks should be submitted with a short caption or title.
This initiative by the Nigerian Air Force highlights its commitment to youth development, fostering creativity, and promoting civil-military cooperation through intellectual discourse.
