A cursory look at the numerous achievements of Rt Hon Mathew Nwogu as the federal lawmaker representing Ngor okpala and Aboh Mbaise may not reveal much ,but if one takes an in-depth and critical look into his programmes, activities and exploits, the person will quite appreciate the fact that he has made a tremendous achievements within two years.
The political accomplishment of this illustrious son of our federal constituency is second to none, no wonder his name now rings bell at every nook and cranny of Aboh and Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency.
Rt Hon Nwogu has always made himself available to his constituents, he is one man that believes that a legislature needs to stay close to the people he is representing so as to know their needs and problems and that is why he has always take delight in visiting all the communities under his federal constituency. Each time he visits home, he will create time to interact with his constituents to know their challenges and proffer solutions. He waste no time to visit home any time the National Assembly were on recess. Rt Hon Nwogu could best be described as a servant leader who understands the heart beat of his people , He mourns and rejoice with you, he attends virtually every burial, child dedications, naming ceremonies and wedding in his constituency no matter the social statue of the celebrant
Most politicians in contemporary Nigerian society became elusive and hence detached themselves from people that voted them into office. You will never see them around the people especially those they refer as commoners, But that is not so with with Rt Hon Nwogu ,his closeness to his constituents during electioneering campaign has still been maintained since he assumed office.He is even more closer to them now than when he was rooting for their vote.
I want state without fear of contradiction that Rt Hon Mathew Nwogu has visited all the communities and electoral wards in the two local governments since he was sworn in as federal house member, infact he has held Constituency meetings with relevant stakeholders on the best way forward to better the lives of the people, and that meeting cut across business men and women, traditional rulers of both local government private and public sector practitioners,farmers,traders,the physically challenged,students,technocrats and politicians.Suffix it to say that almost all the communities in Ngor okpala and Aboh Mbaise has gotten their share of his political dividend. He is one man that throws his gate wide open for everybody irrespective of your social class, his open door policy has endeared him to his people and his political trajectory is the major reasons for his popularity in the area.
Rt Hon Nwogu firmly subscribed to integrity, accountability,transparency and equality, He hates segregation and this is the reasons all the political dividends, palliatives and other incentives are shared indiscriminately across party lines.be it labour, APGA,PDP And APC. Rt Honourable has always said it that his emergence was a collective effort of different political parties both from Ngor Okpala and Aboh Mbaise.
Most recently. a group of youth of like-minds jointly from Ngor Okpala and Aboh Mbaise under the aegis of Ngor okpala and Aboh Mbaise youth for good governance carried out a random political survey across communities in the two local governments ,Their intensions are to evaluate the performance and achievements of Rt Hon Nwogu, hence their findings.Their investigation train first took them to Umuokule Enyiogugu community, there they met with a pregnant petty trader, Mrs Comfort Njoku who confessed to the youths that she has immensely benefited from the newly renovated Enyiogugu Health Centre just like every other pregnant woman in the area. She revealed that the the Health Center was nothing to write home about before the intervention of Rt Hon Nwogu. She also said she has benefited from the lawmaker empowerment programmes that enabled her to establish the little business she is managing and described Hon Nwogu as the best that has happened to her community.
Mr Hillary Onwukwe, a meat seller at Ekisu Obiangwu market hinted to the youth that he was very delighted now with the road that connected Enyiogugu to Ekeisu courtesy of Hon Nwogu had been repaired. Mr Njoku who said that he hails from Ezialakaohu said that the users of that road will forever remain grateful to the lawmaker .
On the other hand, Madam Felicia Onwukwe, a widow from Umuanuma Nguru in Aboh Mbaise could not hide her excitements when the youths came calling ,she said that the palliatives she received so far from Hon Nwogu has helped her and her five children, According to her she is born and married in Aboh Mbaise and this is the first time she has received political benefit from a politician.
Uvuru community is not left out in these good testimonies .Elder japhet ukwuoma a farmer from the community hinted that the fertilizer being distributed to Aboh Mbaise and Ngor okpala farmers last Christmas by Hon Nwogu of which he benefited will go a long way enhance farming productivity in the area this coming farming season.A youth leader in Umuene obiangwu in Ngor okpala comrade Osita Anyanwu told the group that the solar street light that Hon Nwogu installed in their village. Has helped to reduce crime and criminality stating that the illumination of light from the street light has made it uncomfort

Lynda Nkwocha, a health worker from Umuanyamele Umuohiagu was delighted with the state of Umuohiagu Health Centre and some primary schools in the community which was singlehandedly renovated by our amiable federal lawmaker.
Engr Chris Amadi a native of Alatia community in Ngor okpala confessed to the youth body that no previous federal house representative can beat the records and achievements of Rt Hon Nwogu even when he has not stayed up to two years at the national assembly.He mentioned that his friends son is a beneficiary of NDDC scholarship attracted by the man of the moment.A very popular traditional rulers from Aboh Mbaise who chooses to ply on anonymity told the youth body when they visited him in his palace that the infrastructural development being put in place by Nwogu will remain evergreen in the minds of all sons and daughters of Aboh Mbaise even the children yet unborn.He said that Hon Nwogu has giving sense of belongings to all the traditional rulers in the LGA and that they are very proud of him and must reciprocate the good gesture when the time comes.A disabled man from Umuikoro na Opehi in Ngor okpala by name Joseph Nwadialo narrated his experiences last 2024 Christmas where he got all manner of empowerment in the home of Rt Hon Nwogu.Nwadialo who sheds tears of joy as he speaks revealed that no previous house of representative member has remembered people of his community the way Nwogu has done.He said that many less privileged individuals from that part of the local government has graciously benefited from his milk of human kindness
Barr Michael Njoku, a lawyer from Obetiti in Aboh Mbaise hinted that his state of mind is tensed with joy and euphoria giving the level of contributions Hon Nwogu has made at the floor of the green chambers .
Barr Njoku who revealed that he has been following the activities and human oriented bills and motions that Hon Nwogu has passed since his inauguration, is something worthy of commendation. He went further to disclose that Rt Hon Nwogus inclusion as member of committee for appropriation shows that he is a very visible member of that that house and members of house of representative think tank.He went further to state that Nwogus vibrant disposition at the national assembly has automatically positioned Ngor okpala and Aboh Mbaise to the map of Nigeria.He mentioned that members of the federal constituency will benefit immensely if Rt Hon Nwogu is voted in for the second time when he would have been a ranking member.There is this popular. Saying that good wine knows no bush which literally translate in Igbo as ‘Ahia oma nere onweya’.It is also on record that Rt Hon Nwogu has secured four federal jobs to graduates of his federal constituency .Most federal house members do divert such opportunities to benefit their immediate family members or children ,However,those that benefitted from Hon Nwogus job opportunities are those he may not have meet or seen in person,his only concern is that all of them are members of his federal constituency.The revelations so far from members. of his federal constituency is just a tip of an iceberg as he has numerous plans in his 2025 budget,plans are on top gear to Introduce free medical services to members of his constituency,,A big opportunity for ngor okpala and Aboh Mbaise to access free medical care. He also has in his plan to rehabilitate more roads that cut across the two LGA,He has also talked about renovating more primary schools and health centres across communities in the two LGAs .Opening of water bore holes to most communities also tops his agenda
