A high-powered delegation from the World Scout Bureau, led by its Acting Secretary General, David Berg, has arrived in Nigeria for a historic visit from January 20 to 23, 2025. The visit aims to strengthen ties with The Scout Association of Nigeria (TSAN) and advance youth development initiatives across the country.
A major highlight of the visit is the conferral of the title Grand Patron of the Scout of Nigeria on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, acknowledging his leadership and the Federal Government’s commitment to youth empowerment.
The delegation will engage with TSAN leadership to assess progress, tackle challenges, and align its activities with global frameworks like the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and the African Union’s Vision 2063.
They will also meet key stakeholders, including government representatives and local partners, to enhance TSAN’s impact as a public utility organization.
