Operation FANSAN YAMMA in a significant victory against banditry in Zamfara State, has dealt a crushing blow to the stronghold of notorious bandit leader Kachallah Bello Turji on Fakai Hills.
The joint air-ground assault, executed on January 10, 2025, decimated scores of bandits and left many others wounded, marking a critical step in restoring peace to the region.
Following precise intelligence and real-time surveillance, the Armed Forces unleashed devastating airstrikes, followed by synchronised ground operations, several bandits were neutralised, including some top commanders, while others fled with injuries.
Turji’s whereabouts remain unknown, which is a clear indication of a major disruption to his network.
The operation also freed several kidnapped victims, bringing relief to affected families.
