New Defence Perm Sec Aduda Lauds NAF Collaboration, Commits To Unwavering Support

The newly appointed Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Ambassador Gabriel Tanimu Aduda, has commended the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) for its strategic collaboration with sister services in tackling insurgency and other criminal activities across Nigeria.
Ambassador Aduda who made this statement during his maiden visit to the NAF Headquarters in Abuja pledged the Ministry’s unwavering support to the Armed Forces, particularly in enhancing their welfare and operational capacities.
He stressed the importance of synergy between the Ministry and the military in achieving national security objectives.
The Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, described the current NAF administration as a “Golden Era,” citing the delivery of 14 advanced aircraft in 2024 as part of 64 expected over three years.
He acknowledged the Ministry’s vital support in boosting NAF’s operational readiness and assured continued collaboration.
The visit also included a commemorative presentation to Ambassador Aduda and a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the NAF Memorial Arcade to honour fallen heroes.
The event highlighted the strengthened partnership between the Ministry of Defence and the NAF in safeguarding the nation.
