The Armed Forces of Nigeria continue to intensify operations against terrorism and criminal activities, achieving significant milestones in the past week.

The military’s relentless campaigns are dismantling terrorist support structures and restoring stability across the nation.

In the North Central region, troops intercepted two ammunition couriers, Danweri and Abubakar Hamza, in Bauchi State. Their arrest marks a critical step in disrupting terrorist logistics.

Director of Defence Media Operations, Major General Edward Buba, in a press statement, said nationwide, troops neutralised 148 terrorists, arrested 258 suspects, and rescued 291 kidnapped victims.

In the South-South region, the Director, Defence Media Operations, said they foiled oil theft worth over ₦798 million, dismantling 66 illegal refining sites and recovering over 657,470 liters of stolen crude oil.

He said, troops also seized 146 weapons, 2,599 rounds of ammunition, 40 mobile phones, vehicles, motorcycles, and other assets. The operations also uncovered and destroyed 68 crude oil cooking ovens and other illegal facilities.

Buba, emphasised the troops’ commitment to eradicating terrorism and restoring peace nationwide. “We remain focused on destroying the enemy’s capabilities and will to fight,” he stated, assuring Nigerians that the Armed Forces are winning the war.
