Nigeria Tennis Umpires Association Elects New Leadership Team

The Nigeria Tennis Umpires Association (NTUA) has appointed a fresh executive team to lead its affairs for the next four years.
This decision came at the 2024 Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja, with over 40 members from across the country in attendance.
Efe Okwagbe, who was elected unopposed as Chairman, will head the new leadership team, which includes Vice Chairman Tyav Simon Tyolumun, General Secretary Yusuf Amos Dinga, Assistant General Secretary Olajimbiti Michael, Financial Secretary Miracle Sunday Audu, Treasurer Princess-Ekwi Ajide, Public Relations Officer Chukwunonso Nwabueze, and Provost Idris Abubakar.
Members at the AGM affirmed the new executive unanimously.

Engr. Ifedayo Akindoju, President of the Nigeria Tennis Federation, encouraged the new leaders to uphold the professional standards set by previous committees, emphasizing the importance of dedication to tennis officiating in Nigeria.
Outgoing Acting Chair Rose Abu also acknowledged the members’ support and urged the new executives to surpass past achievements.
Chairman Efe Okwagbe expressed the team’s commitment to advancing tennis officiating standards in Nigeria and prioritizing member welfare.
With the adoption of an amended constitution, the officers will serve a single four-year term.
All sub-committees and the former executive committee were dissolved as part of the transition to the new leadership.
