NAF Says Thorough Investigation Underway In Giwa, Kaduna State

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), says a thorough investigation is already underway to uncover the facts regarding alleged civilian casualties following a successful airstrike targeting a known terrorist hideout in Giwa Local Government Area, in Kaduna State.
Reacting to a recent publication, NAF said the operation was conducted based on solid intelligence gathered from multiple reliable sources and backed by comprehensive surveillance of the target area.
It noted that for over two years, the location has been a notorious haven for terrorists, and the airstrike marks a significant step towards reducing banditry, kidnapping, and attacks on innocent civilians in Kaduna State and surrounding regions.
A statement by NAF acknowledged that while the mission was aimed at neutralising threats, it remains deeply concerned about the allegations as it is committed to preventing any unintended harm to civilians.
The statement assured citizens that they will be duly informed once the investigation is complete, as NAF strives to ensure its operations remain precise and focused on safeguarding lives without causing collateral damage.
