EducationUSA Nigeria is hosting its 23rd annual EducationUSA College Fair from September 17 to 19 in Abuja and Lagos, offering prospective students the chance to connect directly with international admissions officers from 50 leading U.S. universities.
Participants will include top institutions like Harvard, Columbia, George Washington University, Tulane, and Spelman College, showcasing the wide variety of academic programmes available in the U.S. at undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels.
Attendees can engage with admissions officers, EducationUSA advisers, and U.S. Embassy representatives to learn about the application process, student visas, financial aid, and the cultural experience of studying in the U.S.
“The United States remains a top choice for international students due to its world-class education programmes,” said U.S. Mission Public Diplomacy Counselor, Lee McManis.
“The EducationUSA fair is a fantastic opportunity to explore these educational possibilities”, McManis said.
Nigeria is the top African country sending students to U.S. universities, with over 17,000 Nigerians pursuing degrees in the U.S. during the 2022-2023 academic year.
The fair will begin on September 17 at the NAF Conference Centre in Abuja, continue on September 18 at the Ecobank Pan African Center, Victoria Island, Lagos, and conclude on September 19 at Pistis Hub, Maryland, Lagos.
