Anioma State: Group Champions, Applauds Senator Nwoko For Leading The Cause For Creation
The National President of the Ndokwa Voiceful Youth Union, Delta North, Comrade Steve Okushi has raised a compelling case for the creation of Anioma State.
Okushi, who made the call in a press statement, in Delta State said that Anioma is rooted in what he described as “Balanced Representation” aimed at creating a sixth state in the South-East geopolitical zone.
He noted that the essence is to ensure a more balanced representation in the region
Adding voice to the state’s Cultural Unity, he hinted that Anioma State is predominantly Ibo-speaking, fostering greater unity and cultural coherence amongst the people.
He stressed that the agitation for Anioma State is one of the oldest, dating back to the creation of Delta State, that demands its recognition and urged the Nigeria Senate and its leadership to give due consideration to the bill for Anioma State’s creation, currently championed by Senator Prince Ned Nwoko.
