Get rid of unregistered and accident exhibit vehicles in your various divisions……..AIG MURI charges CP Anambra and Enugu States Police Command.
Following the Inspector General of police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba’s, psc(+), NPM, fdc directive on reclaiming of vehicles in police custody, the Assistant Inspector General of Police in-charge of Zone 13 Ukpo; AIG UMAR MUSA Muri has ordered the Commissioners of Police in Anambra and Enugu States Police Command to evacuate all impounded, accident and unregistered exhibit vehicles from police formations within their States respectively due to the incessant embarrassment, nuisance and disgusting sight caused by stacking of these vehicles at police stations.
The AIG warned that the zone will no longer tolerate the practice of stockpiling vehicles recovered from crime scenes or which their ownership is being contested parked in police premises. He calls on the rightful owners to reclaim their vehicles as soon as possible
He thereby assured the good people of Anambra and Enugu States that decongesting the police formations would be a great operational advantage to the force in effectively dispensing its policing responsibilities and further urges all concerned members of the public to approach various police formations to claim their vehicles, with proper means of identification/ proof of ownership.
