Princess-Ekwi Ajide Abuja
Recently, Zion Gate Orphanage and Charity Home Mararaba, empowered widows in the area with food stuff and cash.
The widows, 20 in number were visibly elated as they prayed for the proprietress of the home, Princess Kaima Mozie who did not discriminate based on tribe, religion or age of the beneficiaries.
The widows who were randomly selected based on their lowly status, included Christians, moslems, of different tribes, age groups and social standing.
They danced for joy, sang and prayed for the convener and asked God to replenish her purse so she never lacks especially as she remembered them, the poor and needy in the society.
In her remarks while addressing the beneficiaries, Princess Kaima, told them that she had the urge to wipe off their tears and give them smiles in obedience to the Biblical injunction to take care of the less privileged.
She urged them to have confidence in themselves, believe in God who is possible to do all things and to always pray for God’s intervention in their cases.
The propiratress, promised that the programme will not be the last but the beginning of an empowerment project that will set them higher in life and settle their means of livelihood.
She told them that she has plans of setting up a skills acquisition centre where widows like them, their children and other Youths who may wish to learn, can acquire various skills free of charge.
Princess Kaima, later had lunch with the widows who were fed with a sumptuous meal of jollof rice with salad and assorted drinks.
