My Staff, certificate Collection has ended battle, says Eze Duru

By Val Nduka

The newly enthroned and certified Traditional Ruler of Ibeamaukwu Autonomous Community in Umunakanu, Ehime-Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State, HRH Eze Felix Duru, has stated that the recent issuance of both staff of Office and certificate of recognition to him by the state governor, Sen. Hope Odidika Uzodimma, has brought to an end the prolonged battle associated with the EZeship stool of the said  Community, stressing that his occupancy of the position is a true indication and reflection that the stool hereditarily belongs to him.
He made the disclosure recently to some newsmen in Owerri, shortly after receiving his legitimate certificate and staff of office, along side other 50 cleared traditional rulers from other Autonomous Communities in the state.
Hi Eze Duru acknowledged that Ibeamaukwu Autonomous Community operates a hereditary system of EZeship which ordinarily should not have posed any difficulty in his emergence, asserting that the reverse was the case .
He frowned at a situation where someone
did not consider the existing Ezeship hereditary system operational in the community before contesting the said stool
that lasted for 8 years, maintaining that with his present achievement, peace has fully returned to the community.
He opined that he felt very delighted with the receipt of those important instruments, assuring that he would always deliver very
truthful and reliable services to his people throughout his reign.
Dim 2 of Ibeamaukwu Autonomous Community called on those who dragged the stool with him to join hands with him and move the community forward for the interests of all.
It could be recalled that the state governor gave all the instruments of authority to 51 deserving Ezes few days ago at the Government House, Owerri, to replace the dead ones in various Autonomous Communities with some strict instructions which they must abide by.
Some of them include: that they should not abuse their positions as traditional rulers; that they should not live outside their domain; that they must maintain effective security in their respective Communities and that they must imbibe the culture of forgiveness by accommodating those who contested with them and lost, stressing that he would not hesitate to dethrone any of them found in contravention of
any of those charges.
