GOTNI Honours Women Affairs Minister Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim With Excellence In Leadership Award
The Federal Government’s push for greater inclusion, women’s empowerment and social development has earned the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Hon. Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, recognition from the GOTNI Leadership Centre.
The minister received the Excellence in Leadership Award on Saturday, 19 September 2026, in Abuja, during the 2026 two-day National Conference on Leadership.
She was represented at the event by her Special Assistant (Technical) and Community Engagement, who also serves as Chairman of the Governing Council of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development, Princess Joan Jummai Idonije.
According to the recognition, the minister’s leadership has focused on innovation, inclusion, human capital development and measurable social impact.
The ministry has also continued initiatives aimed at expanding access to skills, enterprise, social protection and economic opportunities for women, children, families and vulnerable groups.
Its programmes further cover child protection, responses to gender-based violence, survivor-centred services and strengthening social development systems.
The award adds to the recognition of efforts to place women, children and vulnerable Nigerians at the centre of national development.
