Police Foil Kidnappings, Rescue Victims, Arrest 48 Suspects Across States Within 24 Hours

Nigeria Police operatives recorded fresh operational successes across several states, foiling kidnapping attempts, rescuing victims and arresting dozens of criminal suspects in coordinated operations aimed at improving public safety.
According to the Force Headquarters, police teams rescued seven kidnapped victims in Enugu, Imo and Rivers states, foiled kidnapping attempts in Nasarawa and Imo, and arrested suspected kidnappers in Nasarawa, Oyo and Rivers. One suspected kidnapper was neutralised during a rescue operation in Enugu.
The operations also led to the arrest of 35 suspects linked to industrial violence in Edo State, the recovery of firearms and ammunition in Abia and Anambra states, and the arrest of five suspected Indian hemp cultivators after an illegal plantation was uncovered in Ekiti State.
The police said investigations are ongoing in the affected states, while efforts have been intensified to arrest fleeing suspects and dismantle criminal networks.
