Troops, NDLEA Arrest Two Suspected Terrorist Drug Suppliers In Katsina
Efforts to cut off drug supplies fueling terrorism in Katsina State have led to the arrest of two suspected traffickers during a joint military and National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) operation.
The suspects, Hadiza Ibrahim, 35, and Nuhu Rabiu, 40, were arrested on Friday during a raid on Sabowa Kasa Village in Kafur Local Government Area, following intelligence on alleged drug trafficking activities linked to terrorists and other criminal elements.
Security operatives recovered 11.4 grams of Tramadol capsules and an expired Manpower liquid substance believed to have been meant for illegal distribution.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspects allegedly supplied hard drugs and other illicit substances to terrorists and criminal groups operating in Kafur and neighbouring communities.
The suspects and the recovered exhibits have been handed over to the NDLEA Area Command in Malumfashi for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The operation highlights ongoing collaboration between the military and the NDLEA to dismantle criminal networks that sustain terrorist activities through the illicit drug trade in Katsina and the wider North-West.
