Nigeria Targets Solid Minerals Innovation With Launch Of Mine-Tech UniPod In Keffi
As Nigeria intensifies efforts to diversify its economy beyond oil, innovation and technology are increasingly being positioned at the centre of unlocking the nation’s vast solid minerals potential.
This vision received a major boost with the launch of the Mine-Tech UniPod at Nasarawa State University under the National Innovation and Digital Transformation Partnership Programme (NIDTPP).
Speaking at the launch, Elsie Attafuah said the Mine-Tech UniPod would serve as a hub for cutting-edge research and innovation in the solid minerals sector, while also creating opportunities for youth employment and enterprise development.
According to her, the initiative is designed to drive technology-based solutions that will help unlock Nigeria’s mineral resources and support sustainable economic growth.
The Mine-Tech UniPod is part of Nigeria’s growing UniPod network aimed at promoting innovation, entrepreneurship and digital transformation across critical sectors of the economy.
