APC 2026 Convention: Idris Tasks Media Team On Transparency, Credibility
As political messaging becomes increasingly decisive in shaping public perception, the Federal Government has placed strong emphasis on strategic communication ahead of the 2026 APC National Convention.
The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has inaugurated the Media and Publicity Subcommittee for the convention, charging members to deliver accurate, transparent and impactful coverage of the party’s activities.
Speaking during the inauguration at Radio House, Abuja, Idris described the convention as a critical moment for the All Progressives Congress (APC) to reinforce internal democracy and project unity under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He stressed that the committee’s role goes beyond publicity, noting that it includes managing media relations, coordinating information flow, monitoring coverage and ensuring credible reporting to both local and international audiences.
Idris urged members to bring professionalism, creativity and integrity to the assignment, expressing confidence that their expertise would contribute to a successful convention.
