Senate President’s Cup Finale Set To Ignite Abuja With Youthful Talent and Fierce Rivalry
With youth football increasingly becoming the heartbeat of Nigeria’s grassroots sports revival, all eyes are on Abuja as the curtain falls on the second edition of the 10th Senate President’s U-18 Unity Cup.
After a week of thrilling fixtures defined by passion, grit, and rising stars eager to make their mark, the stage is now set for an explosive grand finale at the Old Parade Ground.
The Sponsor of the tournament and President of the Nigerian Senate, Distinguished Senator Dr Godswill Obot Akpabio, is expected to lead a high-powered National Assembly delegation to witness the climax of the championship.
He will be joined by the Chairman of the Senate Committee on Sports Development, Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, his Vice Chairman, Senator Ned Nwoko, and other top dignitaries committed to advancing youth sports.
In the women’s final, Elegant Angels of Akwa Ibom State will lock horns with FCT Ladies at 2pm, promising flair, power, and tactical brilliance.
The men’s final will follow at 4pm, with Essien Udim FC of Akwa Ibom State squaring up against Tanko Baba FC of Nasarawa State in what is expected to be a pulsating encounter.
