The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) and DMG Events have secured Bayelsa State Government’s continued support for the 2026 Practical Nigerian Content (PNC) Forum, as organisers introduce new initiatives aimed at expanding local participation in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The commitment followed a strategic meeting between NCDMB and DMG Events officials and Bayelsa Deputy Governor, Dr Peter Pereotubo Akpe, at the Government House, Yenagoa, ahead of the 15th edition of the forum.
The PNC 2026 is scheduled for November 30 to December 3 at the NCDMB Conference Centre, Yenagoa.
Leading the delegation, NCDMB General Manager, Corporate Communications, Dr Obinna Ezeobi, appreciated the state government for its partnership in hosting the forum over the past 15 years.
He highlighted the economic impact of the PNC and NCDMB’s programmes in Bayelsa, while commending the state for supporting the opening banquet and Youth PNC, which exposes young people in the Niger Delta to opportunities in the oil and gas sector and other industries.
New features for this year’s forum include a Local Content Roundtable, a two-day programme for Local Community Contractors, stakeholder breakout sessions and a town hall involving key oil and gas industry leaders.
Deputy Governor Akpe pledged continued state support, assuring the organisers of adequate security and Bayelsa’s participation in the main conference, gala dinner and Youth PNC.
He also called for greater participation of senior oil and gas executives in the welcome gala dinner.
The annual PNC Forum provides a platform for stakeholders to assess local content implementation and shape new directions for investment, growth and value retention in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
