Terrorist networks rely not only on weapons and fighters but also on the steady flow of fuel and mobility assets that keep their operations moving.

Troops have now disrupted one such supply chain along the Katsina-Zamfara border.

Troops of Sector 2 Joint Task Force, Operation FANSAN YAMMA, intercepted a suspected terrorist logistics supplier along the Gurbi-Zurmi corridor, recovering four brand-new motorcycles and 450 litres of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

The operation followed actionable intelligence which prompted troops to stop and search a commercial utility truck attempting to evade security protocols.

The motorcycles were found concealed in sealed packages, while the 15 jerrycans of PMS, 30 litres each, had reportedly been hidden among containers of vegetable and palm oil.
The driver, identified as Mallam Abbas Umoru, was arrested.

Military authorities said preliminary investigations indicated that the consignment was destined for terrorist enclaves around the Katsina-Zamfara border.

The seizure is expected to disrupt terrorist mobility and access to fuel, while investigations continue into other actors linked to the supply chain.
