Fidelity Bank has acknowledged receipt of demands for payment of professional fees and damages from GON-SETEC, a consultancy firm, over alleged wrongful termination of engagement, breach of contract, unjust enrichment, and loss of business opportunity.
In a response, the bank stated that there was no contract between GON-SETEC and Fidelity Bank, but acknowledged that the company rendered certain consultancy services. However, it claimed that compensation for such services was never discussed or agreed upon.
Despite denying the existence of a contract in a nine-paragraph letter, Fidelity Bank admitted that GON-SETEC provided services and complied with the bank’s procurement procedure for the deployment of a Sewage Treatment Plant at its office on No.2 Kofo Abayomi.
The bank has invited GON-SETEC for discussions to resolve the matter.
Meanwhile, GON-SETEC on its part has reiterated that Fidelity Bank breached their contractual agreement, but emphasizes its willingness to explore peaceful settlement options regarding the ongoing dispute.
The company maintains its stance on the breach, while expressing openness to resolving the issue amicably
