Zeberced Group Unveils Plan To Train 20,000 Nigerians, Create 40,000 Jobs
As Nigeria seeks lasting solutions to youth unemployment, private sector investment in skills development is emerging as a key driver of economic transformation.
Zeberced Group has announced plans to establish a world-class Technical and Vocational Training School that will train 20,000 Nigerians and create about 40,000 direct jobs, alongside a FIFA-approved football academy to nurture young talents for local and international opportunities.
The company’s Managing Director, Adil Aydin Kurt, unveiled the initiatives during a visit by the leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), FCT Council, led by its Chairman, Grace Ike, to the firm’s Abuja Industrial Park Free Zone.
Kurt said the vocational institution would train about 2,000 young Nigerians annually in fields including construction, electrical and electronics, plumbing, machine design, furniture, metal and motor vehicle technology, equipping them with practical skills for employment and entrepreneurship.
He added that Zeberced also plans to establish hundreds of factories within the Idu Industrial Area to boost local manufacturing, reduce dependence on imports and accelerate Nigeria’s industrial growth.
Responding, NUJ FCT Council Chairman, Grace Ike, praised the company’s investment in youth empowerment and appealed for support towards the completion of the Council’s ultra-modern Congress Hall project.
Kurt pledged the company’s readiness to partner with the Council in advancing national development initiatives.
