Retired DIG Marks 72nd Birthday With Medical Donations To Police Hospitals
Rather than a lavish celebration focused on himself, retired Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Aminu Yesufu, chose to mark his 72nd birthday with acts of charity aimed at improving healthcare and supporting vulnerable Nigerians.
The retired police chief, alongside family and friends, donated medical consumables to several police hospitals in Abuja through the Directorate of Force Medical Services.
The donation exercise, held at the Muhammadu Buhari Police Hospital, Area 11, Garki, benefited the Police Hospital Dei Dei, Police Hospital Area 1, Muhammadu Buhari Police Hospital, and the Police National Reference Hospital, Utako.
Items donated included sphygmomanometers, stethoscopes, anti-malaria drugs for children and adults, antihypertensive medications, and other essential medical supplies.
Earlier, the celebrant visited the School of the Blind, where he donated educational materials to support students’ learning.
The event attracted several notable personalities, including former Force Medical Directors and senior retired and serving police officers, who gathered to celebrate Yesufu’s contributions and enduring impact on the Nigeria Police Force.
Among those present were Nkechi Eze, Grace Okudo, Adenike Abuah, and Paul Ochonu.
