Strengthening Security Frontlines: IGP Disu Moves To Deepen Military-Police Synergy

In a country where evolving security threats demand coordinated responses, Nigeria’s top security leadership is taking deliberate steps to close operational gaps and boost collective efficiency.

The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has paid a strategic courtesy visit to the Chief of Defence Staff, Olufemi Oluyede, alongside other Service Chiefs, as part of ongoing efforts to reinforce collaboration within the nation’s security architecture.

The high-level engagement centred on strengthening inter-agency cooperation, improving intelligence sharing, and enhancing joint operational strategies to confront Nigeria’s complex security challenges.

IGP Disu stressed that sustained synergy between the Armed Forces and the Nigeria Police Force remains critical to maintaining internal security, safeguarding lives and property, and ensuring national stability.

The visit signals a renewed commitment by security institutions to present a united front in addressing threats and restoring public confidence across the country.
